  • Skateboard and activity park

In 2011, Folkparken's activity park, which was built together with Skellefteå Municipality, opened. In addition to skateboards, we also welcome kickbikes and bicycles. The park includes a vertical wall, a large pool, a street area, a snake run and a pump track. The park is of high quality, and was the venue for the well-attended Betongcupen 2012, a competition with Swedish championship status.

The skate park will open sometime in April/May when the snow has melted and everything has been set up. Until the snow arrives, it will be open 24/7 and of course it is completely free to visit the activity park.

The park is run by the local skateboarding association. For questions about the park, contact Skellefteå Skateboard Association or visit www.skellskate.se

  • Beach volleyball

At the bottom of the southwest corner of the Folkpark area is the Beach Volleyball Court. The four courts are used for training but are of course also open to the public if you are interested in coming and playing with your friends.

The beach volleyball surface is managed by KFUM Volleyball, for more information about them or the surface contact them at styrelsen.skelleftevolley@gmail.com

  • Climbing wall

At the park's eastern entrance is the Climbing Mushroom. If you are interested in climbing, the mushroom is an exciting challenge. During the summer months, the Climbing Mushroom is open to the public 24 hours a day and of course it is free.

The climbing mushroom is managed by KFUM Skellefteå, which handles all planned activities on the mushroom. For more information, contact them at office@kfumskelleftea.se or call 076-801 08 58.

  • Graffiti wall

By the fence on the east side of the park is a 12-meter-long graffiti wall that is open to anyone who is curious about graffiti art. Everyone from beginners to experienced painters display their works on the wall.

Together with ABF, Skellefteå Graffiti arranges activities on the wall in the form of study circles where you can get help buying paint and finding others to paint with.

For more information about the wall, please contact Magnus Nilsson at ABF at magnus.nilsson@abf.se or 070-691 85 21. Also feel free to visit Skellefteå Graffiti on Facebook where they showcase both new and old works.

This is the ONLY wall on which graffiti is allowed! Graffiti on other surfaces is strictly prohibited and may result in a fine.

  • Street basketball

In the eastern part of the park is the asphalt-paved street basketball court, which is match-sized and has two baskets. The court is open for play 24 hours a day.

For more information about the basketball court, you can contact the YMCA at office@kfumskelleftea.se or 076-801 08 58.
